Water is life

Water is life

There is little doubt, that the water cycle is not understood well. It is not only the circulation from the tropics to the Polar Regions. That is the biggest aspect and under the tile  ”Climate change”  it is in the headlines of the daily news.

There are smaller cycles to, especially in hilly areas where people might encounter in the garden the waste water from the neighbour uphill. What would you do in such case?

The water cycle can be found in much closer neighbourhood too. We fill water inside our body by drinking and eating and we let out by digestion and sweet following its course through our metabolism. We have transformed it. It is not any more water, it is urine, shit and sweat. Day by day. All three have a much higher CO2 content, than drinking water. Oxygen bound life emits CO2 through the burning of oxygen.

Do you compensate the CO2 emission of the body?

Waste water reuse is the solution for balancing the CO2 footprint of the body. Without reuse waste water boosts the acidification of the water cycle.

The civil resistance against the Dakota pipeline in USAmerica spreat the words “Water is Life” around the planet. But not only this. Water protectors are acting in the water cycle in manifold ways. Our common aim is to provide clean water to the forthcoming generations.

Setting examples in water protection is part of parential care, knowledge of the interconnectedness of water with all life gives individuality the taste of commons.  We hear about the oceans, the sewage they collect in billion tons, the intrusion of micro plastics in living organisms and the dwindling ice masses threatening coastal communities with rising sea levels. We know that availabiity and quality of sweet water structures societies everywhere.

What do you know about the water you are drinking? It is about quality. Industrially processed water or bottled water has another quality than tab water, than camouflaged water in food products than water from a natural well.

The choice should be in favour of the most natural source. Strategic environmental impact assessment show this undoubtfully.
